The filter sand serves as a filter medium in your pool and thereby cleans your pool water. The water is pressed through the filter sand by the sand filter pump with sufficient speed where the dirt particles are filtered. The filtered water is then flushed back into the pool.

BWT offers 2 different grain sizes - depending on the filter bowl, you choose your preferred variant. The filter sand used should be neither too fine nor too coarse to guarantee the best possible water quality.

The filter sand should be completely replaced every 2 years.
