The BWT filter cartridge AQA drink ZINC + Magnesium Mineralized Water Protect reduces pollutants in tap water and at the same time the valuable mineral magnesium and the trace element zinc are released during the filter process. In addition, the filter reliably removes limescale and thus protects your appliances. The water becomes the perfect ingredient for unadulterated tea and coffee preparation. The filter can be connected directly to the cold water pipe with an AQA drink 3-way fitting.

FAQs
An aquastop is integrated into the BWT filter head, which prevents water from escaping unintentionally when the shut-off valve is open if no filter cartridge is installed.
However, it is recommended that you turn off the water supply when replacing the filter and relieve the pressure by briefly opening the tap or pressing the cold water button on the water dispenser.
No. The AQA drink filter cartridges only work with a BWT Magnesium Mineralizer filter head and may only be installed with an original BWT Magnesium Mineralizer filter head.
However, the BWT Magnesium Mineralizer filter head fits every filter cartridge in the AQA drink filter cartridge series.
The capacities can be read in the installation and operating instructions of the filter. These are enclosed in the MyAQUA Soft filter cartridge packaging. In addition, you will also find an overview on the data sheet for the filter cartridge, which is available for download on our homepage.
- Each BWT AQA drink filter cartridge may only be operated with water that meets the legal requirements for drinking water quality.
- The water filter is not suitable for the production of drinking water, i.e. the filter is not suitable for the treatment of hygienically questionable water.
- If you are required by official authorities to boil tap water as a result of germs, this also applies to BWT filtered water. If the tap water is again approved by the authorities as safe for consumption, the AQA drink filter cartridge must be replaced in any case and the connections cleaned.
- For certain groups of people, such as people with impaired immune defences and for the preparation of baby food, the BWT filtered water must be boiled.
- The AQA drink filter cartridge must be replaced after 6 - 12 months at the latest, depending on the filter type, after the first use.
- If there is an interruption in use of more than 2 days, the filter system must be rinsed with 4 - 5 litres of water before it is used again. In case of an interruption in use of more than 4 weeks, we recommend replacing the AQA drink filter cartridge
To achieve the optimum filter effect, you should replace the AQA drink filter cartridge as follows:
- Filter ZINC + Magnesium Mineralized Water: after exhaustion of capacity or after 12 months at the latest
- Filter Magnesium Mineralized Water: after exhaustion of capacity or after 12 months at the latest
- Filter Magnesium Mineralized Water Protect Care: after exhaustion of capacity or after 6 months at the latest
- Filter Filtered Water Care: after exhaustion of capacity or after 6 months at the latest
- Filter Simply Care: after exhaustion of capacity or after 6 months at the latest
The service life depends on the quality and hardness of your tap water.
If it is not possible to tap filtered water, there may be various reasons for this. Check whether the water supply or shut-off valves are closed. If this is the case, open them. Check whether the AQA drink filter cartridge is fully screwed into the filter head. If this is not the case, unscrew the AQA drink filter cartridge by half a turn and then screw it back into the filter head as far as it will go. Check whether the flow direction and the direction arrow on the filter head match. Only if both point in the same direction can a flow take place.

The human body needs approx. 300 mg of magnesium and approx. 10 mg of zinc per day, and even significantly more in the case of physical overload and stress.
Drinking 2.5 litres of ZINC + Magnesium Mineralised Water can cover 15 per cent of the daily requirement of zinc and 20 per cent of the daily requirement of magnesium (at 17°d total water hardness).
The filter system can be operated vertically or horizontally. When installing the AQA drink filter cartridge for horizontal operation, however, care must be taken that the AQA drink filter cartridge rests on the floor.
When tapping water, excess air in the piping system can cause carbonic acid to form, which escapes as small white bubbles. A white colouring of the water due to air is harmless. Just let the water stand for a short time and the turbidity disappears again.
There are no restrictions on the use of ZINC + Magnesium Mineralised Water - it is suitable for all age groups.
Our general recommendation is to boil tap water for babies before use. This also applies to any other BWT filtered water.
The same also applies to groups of people with a reduced immune system. Here, too, we recommend boiling the water before use.
Always observe local regulations for disposal!
