Description
The B-SAFE safety filter provides a high level of protection against Legionella infection, which can occur through inhalation of aerosols containing Legionella. Legionella and other bacteria are separated from the water by a dead-end hollow fibre microfiltration membrane with pore sizes of 0.15-0.2 μm. The filtration process takes place in a dead-end process without backwashing.
The pre-filter (pore diameter 200 μm) installed in the B-SAFE safety filter removes sand, rust, lime particles, biofilm fragments and other turbid substances from the water. The B-SAFE safety filter removes legionella and other bacteria from the shower water without dosing chemicals (disinfectants).
The filter works purely mechanically. The use of a hollow-fibre microfiltration membrane provides a large filtration surface with a small space requirement, so that a high filtration performance is achieved.
The filter is installed between the sanitary fitting and the shower.
The connections have a ½" external thread on both sides.
