BWT Smart Mineral (3 litres) is used exclusively in BWT hybrid soft water systems (e.g. BWT Perla Hybrid) which are equipped with a common control for softening and mineral dosing. Correct water treatment with BWT Smart Mineral significantly minimises the corrosiveness and / or calcification tendency of the water. Operating and installation conditions as well as the material properties are further important factors that can influence the success of the process.

Not to be used with Bewados E3, E20, Plus 3 or Plus 10/20!

Product Features

BWT Smart Mineral is a food grade poly-monophosphate solution concentrate.

The product complies in its composition and purity with the list of treatment substances and disinfection processes according to §11 Drinking Water Ordinance 2001.

BWT Smart Mineral

builds up a calcium-iron-phosphate protective layer in the water-bearing galvanised steel installation system ("inner pipe sealing")
thereby minimises corrosion damage
in addition, the hardness in the water is stabilised and thus limescale deposits are minimised

Application / Dosage

The dosing of BWT Smart Mineral is carried outwith special BWT pearl water systems (BWT Perla Hybrid or AQA smart plus) directly from the original container. The dosing of BWT Smart Mineral is permitted according to the drinking water ordinance up to 5 g P2O5/m3 = 6.7 g PO4/m3 = 2.2 g P/m3 water. The mineral dosing devices are set accordingly at the factory.

BWT Smart Mineral (3 litres) is used in BWT hybrid soft water systems (e.g. BWT Perla Hybrid or AQA smart Plus) that are equipped with a common control for softening and mineral dosing. In combination with the water softening in the device, less than 5 mg/l of the BWT mineral substance is added to the softened drinking water for each water withdrawal in the pipe system.

After opening, the contents of the container must be used within 6 months.
Storage life: at least 3 years from date of production
Storage temperature: 10 - 30 C
BWT Smart Mineral must be stored in a food-safe, frost-proof and dry place.
The product must be kept out of the reach of children

When added to the drinking water, this mineral substance reacts on the inner walls of the pipes and thus gradually forms a thin, but firmly adhering, protective layer that separates the water from the pipe (inner pipe sealing). Existing rust/corrosion foci are infiltrated (encapsulated). Regular water tapping at each tapping point is required.

BWT Smart Mineral is suitable for the treatment of drinking water for human consumption and, in terms of its purity and composition, naturally meets all the requirements of the Austrian Foodstuffs Code (Codex Chapter B1 Drinking Water ) as well as the corresponding guidelines of the ÖVGW.
