Reverse Osmosis treatment for high quality water without chemicals

From the smallest café to the largest production facility, BWT has a range of Reverse Osmosis units designed and developed to protect a single appliance, process or whole facility.

Installed as a single unit or as part of a modular water treatment solution, BWT Reverse Osmosis is the most effective and reliable form of water treatment available for the removal of undesirable elements from a given water supply. It will remove 90-99 % of all dissolved solids and 98% of all bacteria and fine suspended particles below 1 micron particle size. Reverse Osmosis is a physical process that makes use of a semi-permeable membrane to separate water from substances dissolved in it.

How RO system works

Reliable and maintenance-friendly

Reverse osmosis is a membrane separation process which, by means of a high water pressure, is capable of separating (retaining) the dissolved salts (ions) present in the raw water and letting the pure water molecules pass through the membrane. In reality it is the water molecules which are removed from the dissolved salts and not, as you know from ion exchange, the ions that are removed from the water. The dissolved salts are removed almost 100 % and the membrane pores are so small that even micro organisms such as bacteria and pyrogenes cannot penetreate.

The pure water (permeate) is collected in the reservoir and from here pumped to point of use. The “dirty” water (concentrate) is fed to drain. Programmable logic controllers (PLC) are often used for monitoring conductivity levels and other operating parameter making even larger systems easy to monitor and control.

BWT bestaqua 14 ROC

The BWT bestaqua 14 ROC was designed for tough applications in the food service sector. It is ideal for producing very pure water, such as that needed to produce steam for combination steamers or steam ovens, or for a steam feed when baking. It also enables all unwanted substances to be removed from the water effortlessly, allowing the water to vaporise entirely without residues. Reverse osmosis developed specifically for the restaurant trade.
