How does BWT Limefighter prevent limescale build up? The Limefighter Compact magnetic scale inhibitor works by encouraging the formation of larger, needle shaped crystals, as opposed to the normal small cubic pattern found in hard untreated water. This reduces the stickiness of the scale forming crystals and enables them to be washed away by the flow of the water. The effect on the water is temporary, making them ideal for the protection of individual appliances.
Notes: Please do not over tighten fittings or use a pipe wrench on body. Unit must be adequately supported on both sides of the installation and correctly aligned to avoid stress to the unit or joint. Protect from frost!
